Barat goes to Baguio (Day Two) - Cafe by the ruins
Day TWO in Baguio - Cafe by the Ruins
We started our day with a hearty brunch at Cafe by the Ruins. This Cafe serves good food and nice ambience. However, their menu is not as friendly on a budgeted traveller. But, don’t frown because we have some barat tips for you…
When we asked our server regarding their serving size, he informed us that it’s only good for 1 person. So we ordered individually, but when the food came out we were so overwhelmed with their serving size. It is actually good for 1-2 persons depending on ones appetite, in short they have big serving size.
We have some pictures of the food we ordered.
Crispy Tapa (Php 170) - served with soup
Lumpia Straws (Php 80) - This is a unique combination of smoked bangus and kesong puti, tasty/yummy and affordable.

Deborah’s Pasta Dish (Php 128) - Cream based pasta with mushrooms and basil.

Tamarind Mint Iced Tea (Php 35) - This is unqiue but I think it’s more of an acquired taste to enjoy drinking it.

Chai (Php 35) - A perfect mix of tea and milk served with tira-tira as sweetener.
We also ordered salad dressing for take home. Vinaigrette and Upland Dressing for only php 100/bottle (500 ml size). Although it’s good, their packaging is not as attractive beacuse their using an empty “hidden spring” mineral water bottle. Funny huh? ;P
