Barat Mode

This is the last entry for our subic trip (June 23 and 24, 2007) and it wouldn’t be complete without a food entry.

We eat out twice while we were in Subic and funny that we ate at the same restaurant in both occassions… and that is Meat Plus!

Why? We actually didn’t know. Maybe we wanted to eat in a place that’s not available here in Manila? Or, we really love steaks and burgers? Or, it’s really yummy and budget friendly that we went back there twice!

This place is really not that “mura”, but if you try to read the Menu carefully and pick the right order you’ll both satisfy your hunger and your pocket! hehehe

Prices starts a Php 25 (for your extra side dish — generous serving size) to around Php 400 (for meals).

As for us, on the first night we ate there, we ordered for Tenderloin Meal (Php 225) and extra sidings and was shared by 2 people.

And Super Sarap! Banana Fritters (Php 100) for dessert.

On the second night we went there, we ordered for the official Barat Mode order

This is good for 2 people on a budget.

1 Cheeseburger with Potato Skin and drink (Php 115),

1 Cheeseburger (Php 75),

and 1 Siding (ranging from Php 25 to Php 60)… this one’s called “the bomb” we think this is best eaten with steak rather than with burger.

But if you are on a budget, you may remove the siding since you’ll be “busog” even without ordering one. ;P
