Waiying, a place you should try after your divilandia shopping or visit at Binondo.
This fastfood is one of our favorite since 2003. We learned about Wai ying from a Chinese friend who lives in Masangkay. We frequent it not just because of the price but for the food. Ever since, we make it a point to drop by this place after a heavenly shopping spree at 168, tutuban, and divilandia.
Wai ying’s ambience is far from Causeway, Hap Chan, or Wan Chai… It’s set-up is more of a canteen style… But don’t under estimate this place because they serve super yummy hakaw for only Php 50 per order (4 pcs), Curry Beef Siomai Php 45 per order (3pcs) and Siomai Php 50 per order.
When we first ate here, Dimsum’s price range was only Php 35 per order when other Chinese restos was selling it for Php 55-70, A bowl of rice is only Php 12 and we can eat under Php 50 per person!
Last October 26, 2007 we visited Wai ying and We tried ordering the Asado/White Chicken Rice (only Php 105) but for us, we still like Chinoy King’s version
… If you still have that extra budget, we suggest you try their Cold HK Milk Tea (Php 40) … Super yummy!
How to get there:
From Recto (going towards Tutuban) take a left turn at Masangkay, at the end of the street left turn then left turn again at benavidez.
