The Red Crab’s Seafood Club (Greenbelt 3)

Thursday, July 17th, 2008

Yesterday we recieved an email from Belle de Jour — Mrs. BaratMode’s planner. We were so excited about the buffet of Red Crab. We love their buffet at the Tomas Morato branch. However, they no longer offer buffet :(

So what happend to us last February when we ate there? We paid about Php 2,000 for 1 crab, an order of calamares, rice and iced tea. After paying that much, we missed their buffet much more! hehehe :P

Anyway, here’s Seafood Club’s buffet

Lunch Buffet (11- 2pm) for only Php 588+
Dinner Buffet (6-9pm Sunday to Thursday) for only Php 644+
Grand Dinner Buffet (6-9pm Friday to Saturday) for only Php 700+.

Greenbelt 3 is far from our place in QC but we’ll surely visit them soon!Ü

Visit Belle de Jour’s site for more info.

Sisig Hooray!

Friday, March 28th, 2008

Yesterday (March 28, 2008) we went to Market!Market! to accompany our sister with her weekly duty at the PULSE Ultrasound Clinic (she’s the Sonologist every friday 5-8pm … hehehe free plugging ito ha! ;P)

Anyway, upon entering the food area from the open parking we stumbbled upon the kiosk of Sisig Hooray!… We’ve been hearing good reviews about this sisig place for quite sometime now, so we were excited to check it out.

As sisig fanatics, we were eager to try their version of sisig. Prices are super affordable! or we should say a CERTIFIED barat place! hahaha… Barat with high standards! hahaha :)

Sisig Hooray has a different way of serving their sisig, don’t expect a sizzling plate. :) They weigh the pork ingredient and then adds onions, chilis, liver, seasoning and mayo. This mixture is then popped in the microwave for a few seconds then topped with Chicharon and transfered to the styro with rice. Believe us it’s yummy! You may even ask the staff to add more mayo! Heavenly! :9

One order of sisig (pork) is only Php 49.99 (with rice and a generous serving of sisig — which you could eat up with up to 2 rice servings hehehe). They do offer barakada size which sells at Php 130 per order — more or less about 3 single orders. They also have chicken sisig but we’re not interested with it, so we did not pay attention with how it looks like and how much per serving bwahahaha!

The funniest part of our experience was this… since we were super excited to try our new sisig discovery we forgot to take some pictures for this entry! :P … but we promised ourselves to take pictures the next time we visit Sisig Hooray! … which is later! hahaha … barat addict! :)

Sisig Hooray, mapapa-Hooray ka sarap!:)

They have several branches but we only remembered: Market!Market! and Trinoma.

… we’ll update this post soon!:)

Trinoma’s Bloggers Food Tour (part 1)

Thursday, January 10th, 2008

Last January 9th we were lucky to join the Trinoma’s Bloggers Food Tour. :) It was a very nice experience… Meeting new friends in the BlogoSphere (hi ryan and nina! :) ), getting lots and lots of freebies, and eat for free!

Trinoma is one of our comfort place… we are here practically atleast 4 times in a month (We hear sunday mass here weekly at 1015am). :) Aside from our shopping days, grocery (Landmark) schedules, and other errands to run.

The tour was a great way for us to discover the best restaurants to visit during the different eating and splurging modes that we normally have. :)

But before we share our food tour experience, we would like to thank Trinoma and Yehey for including us in the list :) Yummy, Hershey’s and Ayala malls/cinema for the freebies. Ms Ann Clavio of Yehey and Ms. Cha of Trinoma for touring us around.

Oh well, everything started with food… hehehe we mean cocktails after the registration. :)

And then, Trinoma Management and Yehey Representatives welcomed the bloggers and officially started the tour. (This is the exciting part) :)

Here’s the list of Restaurants that we were able to visit:

1.) Conti’s - Lobby Level
2.) Sizzling Pepper Steak - 1st Level
3.) Mangan - 1st Level
4.) Marina - 1st Level
5.) Teriyaki Boy - 1st Level
6.) Super Bowl - 1st Level
7.) Bacolod Chicken Inasal - 1st Level
8.) La Maison - 2nd Level
9.) Abe - 3rd Level
10.) Haiku - 3rd Level

Everything was wrapped up with a Raffle and the great performance of Sound band.

Aysee’s Sisig! yummy :9

Thursday, January 10th, 2008

Aysee’s sisig is still the best after all these years. “Patok” na sa lasa panalo pa sa presyo! (It tastes really good at a very affordable price!).

Last January 7, 2008, after checking out the stalls at metrowalk we decided to eat dinner at aysee’s. We miss this soooo much since it’s too traffic to go to ortigas during the “ber” months.

Anyway, when we got a table we ordered our usual order our favorite sisig plus egg with extra mayo (yum!), 2 plain rice, 1 san mig light and 1 mountain dew. This is the only place that we find mountain dew as the perfect partner for the sisig! aha!

dsc00003.JPG

Do you want to know the price?… you might be shocked with how affordable to eat there. :) Sisig is only Php 75/order good for 1-2 persons, Php5 for the extra egg and Php7 for a sachet of lady’s choice mayonaise. Plain rice at Php7 per cup, Php 14 for the mountain dew and Php 24 for the san mig light. Cheap huh!? a total of Php 139 for 2 people? that’s what you call a real deal baratmode!

So if you happen to be in the area, you got to try this place. If you are not too maarte and if you like to try something not so new… we bet you’ll enjoy the place but beware! this is a hardcore carenderia style with 1 notch higher. ;P hehehe

How to get there?
It’s infront of ULTRA.
Take meralco avenue from ortigas. Turn left at Ultra, then turn left on the 1 street.
Aysee’s would be on your right.
